  • Rights: To feel
  • Identity: Emotional
  • 6 Petals

As you go up the chakras, each colour symbolises the rise of consciousness.

The Sacral Chakra is the second chakra and it is located just under your belly button. It is associated with creativity, intimacy, intuition, pleasure and  relationships.

Learning to nurture this area helps us to explore the power of choice and pleasure with intention, discipline and more understanding.

Affirmations are a good addition to self-work routines. They help affirm nurturing words that aim to empower us on our life's journey.

Body:

The Element that is connected with the sacral is water. This reminds us to nurture our bodies with foods and liquids that help our overall health.

The parts of the body associated with the chakra are: Circulatory system, Bladder, lower back, immune system, reproductive system and hips.

I often find incorporating affirmations with yoga and meditation is extremely helpful. Here are some affirmations to read.

Treat Yourself To Some Time Alone

When I think about coziness, I think about being warm and comfortable. I picture myself centering into tranquility in the comfort of my home. I usually try and make Sunday my lazy day where I let go of any sense of guilt towards not being productive.  To me, it is simply my day to relax, slow down and refuel my energy. Don't get me wrong, I still potter around doing some light tidying or cooking, but it is all done with minimal stress. Setting The Ambience Creating a nice mood helps you feel a sense of harmony within your living environment and allows you to truly feel relaxed and be at ease at home. It is supposed to be your safe zone and the ultimate place to retreat from the outside world. This means you should be conscious about looking after your home so that you can work towards making your space as inviting and comfortable for yourself as possible. Time for You We often have multiple interactions with people daily, whether it is in person, on the phone, ...

Aromatherapy Oils

Aromatherapy has been practised for thousands of years and has continued to serve us in a variety of ways. The oils are used in medicines, cosmetics, recipes, rituals and spas frequently for their aroma, medicinal, ceremonial and therapeutic benefits. Most recently, essential oils have been used in hospitals as clinical complimentary treatments in patient care. This is a positive sign that shows how marrying modern medicines and holistic services together can greatly help with improving well being.  Emotions Our emotions vary and the feelings we experience can unsettle us at times. Essential oils are useful as we can implement them daily to help us with our emotions. There are oils that help to relax, de-stress, boost mood, and stimulate our senses. One of my go-to oils is Frankincense which serves to help with a number of areas. It is an oil that has the potential to balance hormones and can be used to relieve depression and anxiety symptoms.  Bod...

EMPOWERING YOUR THOUGHTS

Waking up with a feeling of gratitude towards life is beneficial for our well being. We all have days where we wake up and struggle to find positivity. Reminding yourself of the good things in life will help encourage healthier thoughts to spread throughout your day. Empowering Ourselves The phrase "What you think, you become" holds a lot of truth.  We have to be kinder to ourselves to transform and maintain productive thoughts that serve to empower us. We also need to acknowledge doubtful and depressing thoughts often stem from other peoples actions or words. When I acknowledged this myself, I knew I had to work on my thoughts to rebuild my inner peace. To affirm positive thoughts, I do these following things: ·    Meditation is continuing to teach me how to calm my thoughts and bring my attention to the present moment. ·    Singing positive songs can be motivating and has a positive influence on my thoughts and mood. ·    List...
