The Gift of Nature

Nature never ceases to amaze me. It offers us a wealth of information; recipes, health benefits, beauty aids etc. There is plenty to learn and appreciate about the gifts of nature.

Symbolic Ties

We can personalise seasonal patterns and behaviours by reflecting upon natures symbolic meanings to find comfort from our own perspectives. For example, when you face difficulty it may seem unbearable, but once you take a moment to look outside of yourself, nature proves that things can get better with time and rebirth is often essential. I believe that the same way nature adapts against the odds, we too can do the same.

It also amazes me, how cultures relate to nature symbolically. With Feng Shui, for instance, flowers are thought to hold energy and protect. In Florology, however, flowers express messages between people.

The Gift Of Aromatherapy

The oils are extracted through different methods to produce precious oils. These gifts are called essential oils, they are used to promote positive physiological and emotional well being.

You can use these precious oils at home by putting a few drops into your bath, mixing the essential oils with a carrier oil to apply the mix topically or you can simply use a diffuser to radiate your home with the flow of aromas.

Contrary to belief, aromatherapy and holistic health are not in conflict with modern day medicine but instead are used as a complementary approach that aims to benefit the mind, body and soul.

The Beauty Of Parks

Nature is therapeutic and soothing to the mind, we often lose sight of how important this is. A walk in the park rewards the body, mind and soul in its own unique way by triggering our physical senses.

Natures Gifts

We heavily rely on nature for food, raw materials, and medicines, as do the animals we co-exist with. This is why it is so important to not turn a blind eye to our deep relationship with nature. At the very least, please take time to appreciate these gifts.

Aromatherapy Oils

Aromatherapy has been practised for thousands of years and has continued to serve us in a variety of ways. The oils are used in medicines, cosmetics, recipes, rituals and spas frequently for their aroma, medicinal, ceremonial and therapeutic benefits. Most recently, essential oils have been used in hospitals as clinical complimentary treatments in patient care. This is a positive sign that shows how marrying modern medicines and holistic services together can greatly help with improving well being.  Emotions Our emotions vary and the feelings we experience can unsettle us at times. Essential oils are useful as we can implement them daily to help us with our emotions. There are oils that help to relax, de-stress, boost mood, and stimulate our senses. One of my go-to oils is Frankincense which serves to help with a number of areas. It is an oil that has the potential to balance hormones and can be used to relieve depression and anxiety symptoms.  Body You

Treat Yourself To Some Time Alone

When I think about coziness, I think about being warm and comfortable. I picture myself centering into tranquility in the comfort of my home. I usually try and make Sunday my lazy day where I let go of any sense of guilt towards not being productive.  To me, it is simply my day to relax, slow down and refuel my energy. Don't get me wrong, I still potter around doing some light tidying or cooking, but it is all done with minimal stress. Setting The Ambience Creating a nice mood helps you feel a sense of harmony within your living environment and allows you to truly feel relaxed and be at ease at home. It is supposed to be your safe zone and the ultimate place to retreat from the outside world. This means you should be conscious about looking after your home so that you can work towards making your space as inviting and comfortable for yourself as possible. Time for You We often have multiple interactions with people daily, whether it is in person, on the phone,
