Aging Gracefully

Age is a touchy subject and most of us feel uncomfortable about it. I can completely relate to feeling like I haven't accomplished enough for my age. It is important to remind ourselves that there is nothing stopping us from still going after what we want and manifesting our dreams.

Here are some examples of people who accomplished great achievements later on in their lives:

Jk Rowland - 32
Henry Ford - 45
Bethany Frankel - 35
Grandma Moses - 78
Julia Child age - 50
Jane Lynch - 40
Vera Wang - 40
Colonel Sanders - 60
Chris Gardner - 44
Susanne Boyle - 47
Martha Stewart - 40

Growing older rewards us with the gifts of knowledge, growth, wisdom and a sense of maturity. We can sometimes take these gifts for granted. So if you're not where you want to be in life or you are starting to feel your age, try to remember that it gives you an advantage and if you choose to look at it that way, you can let go of what is holding you back.

There are so many individuals from all walks of life that have refused to let their age stop them. Ageing is a natural process and there is no point dwelling on the past or boxing yourself in because of it. Continue to go for things and pursue your dreams. Life is there to be lived, so give it your all. xxx

Learn + Development + Grounding Yourself = Maturity

Treat Yourself To Some Time Alone

When I think about coziness, I think about being warm and comfortable. I picture myself centering into tranquility in the comfort of my home. I usually try and make Sunday my lazy day where I let go of any sense of guilt towards not being productive.  To me, it is simply my day to relax, slow down and refuel my energy. Don't get me wrong, I still potter around doing some light tidying or cooking, but it is all done with minimal stress. Setting The Ambience Creating a nice mood helps you feel a sense of harmony within your living environment and allows you to truly feel relaxed and be at ease at home. It is supposed to be your safe zone and the ultimate place to retreat from the outside world. This means you should be conscious about looking after your home so that you can work towards making your space as inviting and comfortable for yourself as possible. Time for You We often have multiple interactions with people daily, whether it is in person, on the phone, ...

Root Chakra

Root Chakra  Colour Of Energy Centre:  Red  Element: Earth  Mantra: Lam  Location: Base of spine  Sansckrit Name: Muladhara  This is the first series of mini blogs based on chakra centres and affirmations.  Affirmations are an additional ritual that can be added to your meditation, mantras and different types of movement practices as you are working on yourself and creating your routines. The root chakra is the first out of the seven energy centres, and it  helps to harmonise all the other energy centres.    I recommend that you revisit this energy centre to help you feel grounded within our often highly stimulating lives. Working on the root chakra encourages us to focus our attention on these areas:   Creating safe and secure spaces for your self and others  To practice grounding exercises  Helps you to work and understand your basic needs  Reminds you to continue to nurture stable healthy foundation...

Comforting Ambience

Comforting Ambience Creating an ambience at work and at home can be a simple way to uplift you and invite peace and comfort into your personal space. Having a serene work space is important for your productivity and mental well-being.   Flowers can be a simple and effective addition to creating a calm work environment. They can add colour and aroma to your surroundings and provide an often needed element of nature. If purchasing real flowers seem too costly, you have the option of buying beautiful synthetic replicates that look and feel like fresh flowers. Personally, my favourite tip is to make sure that your work environment is kept clean and tidy. Taking pride in sustaining a presentable work space helps with maintaining mental clarity and is a visual reflection of your professional standards. Creating an ambience at home promotes relaxation, peace, and balance, which in turn gives you a space yourself and others can enjoy...
