Feeling Fruity?

Medicinal Fruit

Not only does fruit taste nice, it contains natural resources that have the potential to help us internally and externally by supplying the body with vitamins, antioxidants, nutrients and more.

Fruits are able to reduce certain symptoms and are often used as a complimentary treatment to heal the body. There are many benefits to consuming fruits and here are a few of my favourites.

Banana

Bananas are one of the most consumed fruits in the world. Besides being incredibly tasty, bananas provide the body with healthy nutrients and resources that have the potential to reduce anxiety, lower blood sugar levels and naturally boost your mood!

Banana produces three natural sugars: sucrose, fructose and glucose. These sugars help provide energy to the body. Natural fibres found in the banana helps with digestion and reducing cholesterol.

Bananas also produce a protein called tryptophan, which is converted to serotonin, which is known to be a calming transmitter helping us to become more relaxed and happy!

They can make a delicious snack, a refreshing smoothie and even a yummy dessert. All the more reason to go bananas for bananas!

Grapefruit

Grapefruit has a high content of water making it very beneficial for our over all health.

It is packed with flavonoid antioxidants which help to support:

•             Healthy skin
•             Good vision
•             Healthy mucous membranes
•             Oral Hygiene
•             Protection from health issues

In addition, grapefruits are often included in weight loss programs because they are a hunger suppressant. This is because of their high fibre content.

Strawberry

Yes, strawberries are very tasty! But they also have many health benefits.

Strawberries can help with:

•             Reducing eye related problems
•             Boost immune system
•             Regulate blood pressure
•             Improve skin

What's your favourite fruit and its health benefits? Let me know!

Treat Yourself To Some Time Alone

When I think about coziness, I think about being warm and comfortable. I picture myself centering into tranquility in the comfort of my home. I usually try and make Sunday my lazy day where I let go of any sense of guilt towards not being productive.  To me, it is simply my day to relax, slow down and refuel my energy. Don't get me wrong, I still potter around doing some light tidying or cooking, but it is all done with minimal stress. Setting The Ambience Creating a nice mood helps you feel a sense of harmony within your living environment and allows you to truly feel relaxed and be at ease at home. It is supposed to be your safe zone and the ultimate place to retreat from the outside world. This means you should be conscious about looking after your home so that you can work towards making your space as inviting and comfortable for yourself as possible. Time for You We often have multiple interactions with people daily, whether it is in person, on the phone, ...

Root Chakra

The root chakra is the first out of the seven energy centres, and it  helps to harmonise all the other energy centres.    I recommend that you revisit this energy centre to help you feel grounded within our often highly stimulating lives. Working on the root chakra encourages us to focus our attention on these areas:   Creating safe and secure spaces for your self and others  To practice grounding exercises  Helps you to work and understand your basic needs  Reminds you to continue to nurture stable healthy foundation...

Comforting Ambience

Comforting Ambience Creating an ambience at work and at home can be a simple way to uplift you and invite peace and comfort into your personal space. Having a serene work space is important for your productivity and mental well-being.   Flowers can be a simple and effective addition to creating a calm work environment. They can add colour and aroma to your surroundings and provide an often needed element of nature. If purchasing real flowers seem too costly, you have the option of buying beautiful synthetic replicates that look and feel like fresh flowers. Personally, my favourite tip is to make sure that your work environment is kept clean and tidy. Taking pride in sustaining a presentable work space helps with maintaining mental clarity and is a visual reflection of your professional standards. Creating an ambience at home promotes relaxation, peace, and balance, which in turn gives you a space yourself and others can enjoy...
