Comforting Ambience

Comforting Ambience

Creating an ambience at work and at home can be a simple way to uplift you and invite peace and comfort into your personal space.

Having a serene work space is important for your productivity and mental well-being.

Flowers can be a simple and effective addition to creating a calm work environment. They can add colour and aroma to your surroundings and provide an often needed element of nature. If purchasing real flowers seem too costly, you have the option of buying beautiful synthetic replicates that look and feel like fresh flowers.

Personally, my favourite tip is to make sure that your work environment is kept clean and tidy. Taking pride in sustaining a presentable work space helps with maintaining mental clarity and is a visual reflection of your professional standards.

Creating an ambience at home promotes relaxation, peace, and balance, which in turn gives you a space yourself and others can enjoy. Below are some easy ways to promote positive vibes into your home:

Minimal Living

Minimal living has been at the centre of recent discussion. It makes for a cleanlier home space and I personally believe it is great for your consciousness and mental clarity.

Minimalism is about Quality over Quantity. When you start keeping your living space minimal, you will notice how it translates to other areas of your life. You may think twice about buying that unnecessary item of clothing where you didn't before. It makes you value the importance of what you already have!

Essential Oils

Essential oils keep the home smelling fresh and their mood enhancing properties promote relaxation and boost energy. My personal favourites are Juniper, Orange and Frankincense as their pleasant scents have a balancing effect on my emotions.

Get Creative By Re-Arranging Your Layout

Re-arranging your living space can make a huge difference to the ambience of your home. I often change the layout of my personal spaces two to three times a year because it gives me the opportunity to refresh each space. It gives me the chance to clean beneath and behind heavy furniture and get rid of unwanted or unnecessary items, giving my home a new lease of energy. I find the whole process to be very therapeutic.

Add Inspirational Pieces Around Your Home

My last simple tip is to place art, poetry and positive quotes and affirmations around the home; anything that inspires or comforts you. These can be a comforting and uplifting visual incentive that helps to ease you mentally.

Thank you for reading. These are just some of the ideas and tips that have helped me and those close to me. There are endless ways in creating your ideal ambience, be it at work or home.

Let me know how you create zen work/home vibes! I look forward to hearing your ideas!

Aromatherapy Oils

Aromatherapy has been practised for thousands of years and has continued to serve us in a variety of ways. The oils are used in medicines, cosmetics, recipes, rituals and spas frequently for their aroma, medicinal, ceremonial and therapeutic benefits. Most recently, essential oils have been used in hospitals as clinical complimentary treatments in patient care. This is a positive sign that shows how marrying modern medicines and holistic services together can greatly help with improving well being.  Emotions Our emotions vary and the feelings we experience can unsettle us at times. Essential oils are useful as we can implement them daily to help us with our emotions. There are oils that help to relax, de-stress, boost mood, and stimulate our senses. One of my go-to oils is Frankincense which serves to help with a number of areas. It is an oil that has the potential to balance hormones and can be used to relieve depression and anxiety symptoms.  Body You

The Gift of Nature

Nature never ceases to amaze me. It offers us a wealth of information; recipes, health benefits, beauty aids etc. There is plenty to learn and appreciate about the gifts of nature. Symbolic Ties  We can personalise seasonal patterns and behaviours by reflecting upon natures symbolic meanings to find comfort from our own perspectives. For example, when you face difficulty it may seem unbearable, but once you take a moment to look outside of yourself, nature proves that things can get better with time and rebirth is often essential. I believe that the same way nature adapts against the odds, we too can do the same. It also amazes me, how cultures relate to nature symbolically. With Feng Shui, for instance, flowers are thought to hold energy and protect. In Florology, however, flowers express messages between people. The Gift Of Aromatherapy  The oils are extracted through different methods to produce precious oils. These gifts are called essential oils

Treat Yourself To Some Time Alone

When I think about coziness, I think about being warm and comfortable. I picture myself centering into tranquility in the comfort of my home. I usually try and make Sunday my lazy day where I let go of any sense of guilt towards not being productive.  To me, it is simply my day to relax, slow down and refuel my energy. Don't get me wrong, I still potter around doing some light tidying or cooking, but it is all done with minimal stress. Setting The Ambience Creating a nice mood helps you feel a sense of harmony within your living environment and allows you to truly feel relaxed and be at ease at home. It is supposed to be your safe zone and the ultimate place to retreat from the outside world. This means you should be conscious about looking after your home so that you can work towards making your space as inviting and comfortable for yourself as possible. Time for You We often have multiple interactions with people daily, whether it is in person, on the phone,
